I would like to say THANK YOU and that it was my pleasure to meet all parents who came last week to discuss their child`s progress in Grade 2.
Our recent in class celebrations were just fabulous!
Last week`s 100th Day was really AMAZING and a total surprise for me! Students were extremely proud in presenting their creative and interesting presentations. Now they are all posted in the hallway, and I can still observe how students stop and read them over and over! The T-shirts created by some students were AWESOME!
After the long weekend, students were excited to be back and celebrate the Valentine`s Day and share their secret letters and their presents! We also made a big heart out of lots of small hearts. As you can see in the photos, all the mail boxes are displayed in the classroom and students are excited to write small letters to their friends even after the Valentine`s Day. Students were also provided with a large choice of activities related to 100th Day and they were very engaged into completing it.
And finally...the Gregg LeRock concert! I was very happy to hear parents and students enjoyed the show! I found it was a great experience and opportunity for my students to improve their oral and written French communication skills. I have sent home on Friday a CD order form for parents interested in purchasing a personally autographed CD from Gregg LeRock. Notice what an AWESOME T-shirt created and wore Jack for this concert!
This upcoming week, all students will be watching Sultans of string show at school.
Also, please note that on Friday there will be pizza lunch for all students!
Short update about first week of March: on March 4th, our class is going to have a Scientist in School ( 9.00 - 11.35 am) related to the Science unit : Let it Flow: Air and Water and we will need some volunteers again!
Four parents volunteer are welcome to help us on that day. Please email me directly to let me know if you are able to volunteer. I will try to include parents who did have a chance to volunteer in our class so far. Thank you!
Have a great week!
Sincerely,
Mme Paraschiv
